Working on slides..

Hi everyone!

For the past few weeks I have been working on slides for teachers to use in the Cambridge English adult classes. It may seem like an easy task but believe me it really takes a lot of thinking and I really have to exercise my creative bone to quite an extent.

I have to search Mr.Google high and low for suitable pictures to deliver the message or to convey a certain topic to the students. Since the slides are for adult classes I have to make sure the pictures aren't so cartoonish or silly. By looking at the pictures, the students must be able to relate and come up with their own words to describe something.

So you see, the pictures I compile in my slide are according to their topic of discussion and it must be able to trigger their mind for ideas. Pheww..

Well, I'll tell you more about it later as for now I've put them aside and currently making a slide for my English class students. It's about the Form 3 poem, A Fighter's Lines.

While I was searching for extra teaching materials just now, I came across this video in YouTube.
It's a nice video with the phrases from the poem and also pictures. I found it interesting and I will be using them as part of my lesson.

Try watching them..

That's all for today peeps! Just a sudden post.. :)
Take care!

Busy bee's quick post... bzzz

Once again the girl who owns this blog did what she does best! ..She abandoned her blog... :(
And that girl happens to be none other but ME! haha.. :p

My reason? I'm BUSY! haha..

Well I'm not exactly THAT busy with piles and piles of paperwork to be settled.
At least not yet.. ^^
Maybe just a little like this one here.. taking calls, a little paperwork, some pending work on my to-do list and still having time to drink a cup of coffee or two with some biscuits.

~ I still have everything under control ~
Its just that I haven't got much time in my hand to spend it on writing a post now days.
Err.. You must be thinking that I always say this right? hihi.. whatever lah! :p
The thing is I've started working at a tuition centre now you know. I'm a tuition teacher and also part-time admin when I'm not teaching.

So, most of my time will be spent here in the tuition centre. That's where I am now. Just found some time to write this quickly.

When I'm at home I'll have other things to do.. cleaning, eating, helping my mother, sleeping, sending and picking up my sister from school, family time and resting..

So you can see..

Okay guys, that's all for my quick update today.. Till my next post !

Haha.. No hard feelings ok! Enjoy your day! I have to get back to making myself busy now.. :p
See ya!

 for dropping by!

I got ASNB 1 Malaysia already !

After quite some time hearing about the Amanah Saham 1 Malaysia (AS1M) account, I just got the chance to go and get one for myself.

I opened my AS1M at Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad office in Putrajaya. Went there with my cousin sister.
We got to know that the quota for Indians was still available, so we went to check out the availability and we managed to open it.

The minimum share you're allowed to purchase is 100 units which costs RM 100.
Yes! RM 1 per unit.. You can buy more if of course you have the money to do so. As for me I just wanted to open the account first. Coz later on I can just go and add up the money at related banks or any post offices.

~ My Amanah Saham 1Malaysia investment book ~
If you still haven't bought the share go ahead and do it. You can open the account at any Maybank, RHB or CIMB banks or even directly at Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad offices, that is if they still have unsold shares. Just go and ask first. Nothing goes to waste if its going to be an investment right.

Upon opening the account you can always go and add up the money in it at any of the above mentioned banks or even at the post office. All you have to do is fill in a slip with the details of the account holder and also the account number and include the money. Its just as simple as that.

Well thats all for today.. Take care..

To my bloggie..

Owh my bloggie darling..
Sorry for not attending to you for the past few weeks. I have a lot to share with you but have not been able to due to some reasons. And it'll be like this most probably till next week or so.

As for the very current update, I'll be going to UPM this evening till the 23rd of January for a programme known as Campus Life 2012. Its organized by a group of youths for the school children to expose them to campus life through games, activities and experiments. They had previously organized this same programme in USM last year.

Anyhow this will be my 1st time attending a programme like this. So I'm looking forward to it.

I will try my very best to keep you updated, okay..
See you after the weekend!

Take care and have a nice weekend my dear readers.. :)

Seafood Tomyam for dinner!

Hey guys.. After a long time I decided to cook something today and it happened to be seafood tomyam.
I had some prawns at home so I just bought squids in Econsave this afternoon to add up the seafood.

~ This picture is for illustration purpose only. Its not the one I made. :p ~
Scroll below to check out my version of it.
Its been a long time since I last made Tomyam. The last was when I was still staying in Shah Alam with my coursemates. Err.. that was like almost a year ago. Sigh..

Really miss the good old times. As I was preparing the ingredients, I kept remembering how it used to be last time. We would always make tomyam in a big pot. And we would put in so many ingredients..
Chicken, oyster mushrooms, cabbage, carrot, tomatoes, yellow onions and loads of green bird eye chilies.. The spicier the better! :)

All of us just LOVED to eat tomyam. We would eat it with rice, with bihun, dipped with bread ( yes! bread.. it taste good as well), or just sipped on its own. Suitable for lunch, tea, dinner n even sahur time.

~ I fried egg to go with the tomyam soup and white rice ~

~ My version of seafood tomyam.. :) ~

I always like my tomyam to be spicy so I added quite a lot of crushed bird eye green chilies.
Tasted good n SPICY! Sipped it till the last drop.. haha :)

Hello November !!

Well well... how are you guys welcoming November eh? This is one of my most favorite month of all. And there are a lot of birthdays of friends and family I know.

I'm guilty for abandoning my blog for quite some time now.. erkk and I might be posting some back dated posts as this blog is also sort of a personal record of mine u see.

Sometimes I think I have so many things to write and share about and end up not writing anything or just writing the title. Yikes.. I even have a few halfway written posts that are now quite back dated. But I'll still post them..

As for now, I'm a fresh graduate and unemployed.. huhu
And I am looking for a job. At least until I get a chance to further my studies of course. Searching, searching...

Hoping to post more post here soon.. hihi  :)

A year went by..

Hye friends..
I'm not sure if you guys realize but today marks exactly one year since I met 'the accident' and fractured my leg.
And the good thing is that I can walk perfectly well now..
I have also successfully completed my internship about two weeks ago, which means I have finished my Diploma!

Currently I'm just taking my own sweet time at home and also helping my mother with Deepavali preparation. You know.. things like.. washing the curtains, changing the cushion covers, making muruku, and baking biscuits.

And just to share a thought with you guys...

12/10/2010 will always remain in memory..

My dear students..

Hye guys.. How have you been lately?
I've not been too well. Having fever and coughing these two days and on MC of course.. hehe

Gosh.. it feels so nice to get up late in the mornings and not having to drive to work. :p

Well here are some pictures of my students in RQC Management Sdn. Bhd....

It's been three weeks since i started my practical there and so far everything is okay.
I especially like my students. They are naughty, talkative and very sweet.

Yesterday morning they called me and asked... Why i didn't come to work? How I was feeling? Already go clinic? and so on.. they even messaged wishing me fast recovery.

Thats just so nice of them to be considerate...

But unfortunately I won't be entering their class next week as I have to finish editing moduls for Level 3 students.

Thank You Everyone !! ♥

I'm in a thanking mood today.. so I'd like to thank everyone with all my heart.. " "

First of all I'd like to thank God.. for his blessings and for protecting me from other severe injuries in the accident. I thank him also for making it possible that I recover without having to go through any painful operations and other complications.

I would also like to thank my family members and relatives for all their prayers for me to get well.. especially to my grandparents and my aunty..
I heard from my mother that they had pledged to give some offerings to the gods when I get well. That is just so sweet of them..right?

Thank you to all my friends near and far, who said their prayers for me and wished me well.

Thanks to Thines for being there all the time from the start especially when I was feeling down or bored. And also for fishing fresh Snakehead fish ( ikan Haruan )..

Thanks to Khamalesh, Nanesh, and Fathuddin for their kind words and also chatting with me most of the time that I was online.

Thank you Akmar, Vinodini, Nirosa, Haravin and Fathuddin for visiting me at home despite being busy with their studies and family.

Thank you Athirah, Fadilah and Annez for dropping by my house.

Thank you Nizam, Faiz and my dear housemates for visiting me at the hospital.

And most important of all,..

Thank you to my parents for taking care of me the whole time. I really made their days hectic.
When I was recuperating my father kept on buying all those healthy food and all the vitamins and supplements for me. He had spent so much for me. And what more for the days that we had to come for hospital appointments.

My mother had to prepare food for me and take it upstairs every time for the first one month as I didn't go down. Despite that she had other household chores to keep up with.
She also had to come up each time I had to go to the toilet when I still had my full cast on.

Thank you to my sister also for keeping me entertained with her silly arguments. ;p

A big hug for all of you!

Love ya all.. ♥

p/s: In case I missed any of you in my list do tell me k, sorry.. hehe..
Everyone deserves to be thanked..

Thank You Doctor !! =)

Earlier today I went for my most awaited hospital appointment, almost 2 months after I had opened my leg cast. I had to take an x-ray and then meet the doctor.

Among all the other hospital appointments I've been to previously, the last two (including this one) has been the most relieving ones. Haha..

The doctor looked at the x-ray and then asked me to walk around the room and said I'm all well. He just said I need to strengthen my thigh muscle and also my knee by doing more weight bearing exercises and continue my physiotherapy. He gave me another 3 weeks medical leave and said that I can start my practical by next month.

He told me not to do anything vigorously and of course be careful. My next appointment will be in September.

After he told us all that, I gave him a Thank You card. I addressed it to Dr.Avthar and all the staff in orthopedic clinic HTAR Klang. Really appreciate their hospitality during my many visits there.

I am really grateful to Dr. Avthar for treating me. It is he who suggested that I could also opt for ACP Injection other then doing an operation to place a plate to secure the bone together. If he didn't mention about it, I wouldn't have known and I would have had to go through an operation and have a metal piece in me for the rest of my life.

Thank you doctor!

p/s : Dr.Avthar is an orthopedic specialist in HTAR, Klang. He is the one who performed the ACP Injection for me and has been monitoring my case ever since.

Lake Valley Park @ Bandar Tun Hussein Onn

Okay this may sound unreasonable but then this is the situation. I've got high-speed Internet, but I don't have enough time to indulge in it now, thus unable to update my bloggy.

I only get a few minutes online which is sufficient for me to check my Facebook, give a few comments here and there, like a few photos and time's up. Huhu..

Not that I'm complaining as what deprives me of my time from using the internet is also something that I like doing. Such as going out, help my mother with some simple household chores, go out for dinner, a little shopping and last but not least GOING OUT !.. hahaha
Yes! I've been going out quite a lot ever since I got my mobility back. Mostly go out for makan la..

Sometimes my friend comes and takes me out for breakfast or dinner. Then in the evenings my father takes my family to the Lake Valley Park at Bandar Tun Hussein Onn for walks.

The park is really big and well maintained. There's a big pond in the middle with loads of fish in it and everyone comes with fish food for the fishes there. I don't think they'll ever go hungry as they get abundance of bread and fish food.

The park is under UDA and is being watched over by some security guards. Its open during the day and closed at exactly 7pm.

Most of the time I get tired and sleepy towards night after all the walking and go to bed early. I sleep really well at night now days. No more waking up in the middle of the night feeling uncomfortable.

p/s: I couldn't think of any other suitable title for this post.. hehe :p

Feelings of discomfort..

Argghhh..
I just hate this feeling of discomfort on my leg. You know the broken one thats recovering now..
Hate it.. hate it.. hate it.. :(
This discomfort is making me worried for no reason.

Have I walked too much today? Or is it too much of moving my leg?
Was that my bone that felt tingly or are my muscles starting to get back in shape?

Then my super duper imagination gets in..
Maybe its my bone moving? hmm.. It can't be. Its already joined just not strong. So it's not possible. Right??

But there's no sign of swelling or extreme pain. So it can't be the bone. It should be nothing to be worried about. I should just try to sleep.

Owh God..
At times like this I just wished I had X-ray vision eyes , so that I could see into my leg and make sure everything is alright inside. I bet I'd be checking almost every 10 minutes or for every slight discomfort I feel. haha..

Erm..
For those who are new to my blog, don't worry I'm not always like this. I'm normal most of the time. "wink"
