The Preserved Bit..

Greetings friends!!
How have you been? Hope life is going easy on you guys..

Yesterday, while i was going through some of my old files and papers, i came across my primary (Standard 6) and secondary (Form 1), school choral speaking script. I remember keeping it in a file years ago, hoping to preserve it for as long as i can and i totally forgot about the existence of it..
I still remember, that time i was cleaning up and getting rid of unwanted school books. Then when it came to this scripts i kept them and my mother asked why keep it if you won't be using it later anyway. I didn't have a specific reason but i just wanted to keep it.

And when i was reading it yesterday, i was glad that i didn't get rid of them. :)

Reading it now brings back so many memories.. All of us practicing and performing together as a team.
We just had no worries, enjoying those moments together. Now, years after, each of us have moved on with our lives. I realized by keeping it, I not only got to preserve the script but the memories behind it too.

So today i decided to have them typed and post them in my blog... ^_^

SKTJ

Balakong, Balakong,
That’s the place we come from,
Sekolah Kebangsaan Taming Jaya,
That’s the name of our school we go to,
And if… you would like to know,
Also known as SKTJ,
SKTJ ?, SKTJ ?, SKTJ ?, SKTJ ?,
That’s right, Taming Jaya National School,
And… our Balakong day begins with,
The first school bus, the first school van, the first bicycle,
And slee…py heads get out of beds and off to school we go,
Then, the rustle, hustle, bustle starts,
Squeaking vans, smoking buses, creaking bicycles,
And we go to school with them,
Go, go, go, go,
Come what may,
We’re on our way, we’ll soon be there,
We’re on our way, we’ll soon be there,
We’re on our way, we’ll soon be there,
Kuih, kuih, nasi lemak, spicy tasty nasi lemak,
Mamak’s roti canai, pungent and delicious…,
Mamak one roti canai, and one teh tarik please !
Eat, eat, eat, fast before the school begins,
Honk ! Honk ! Peep ! Peep !
Get out of my way, you’re blocking my way, you…
Honk !! Honk !!
Alas we reach the gates of our second home,
Off to class we go, one by one,
Gossip, scandals, news and views, Yahoo !
Lessons, formulas, hypotheses and homework, Nay !
Games, fun, interruptions and PE, Yahoo !
Discussions, discipline, cleanliness and work, Nay !
That is what the majority of us do,
From… 7.40 am to… 1.00 pm in our sacred second home,
Our poor teachers yet again and again,
Remind us that… Time Waits For No Man !
They advise us,
We must make full use of our time in school,
And… yet bickering parents make life at times difficult for them,
Pity, pity, pity…
Teacher ! Yes boy ! Teacher ! Yes girl !
May I go to toilet – No you may not,
May I go to the toilet – Yes you may,
Boys and girls ! Yes sir, yes teacher,
Ring !.. Ring !.. Ring !.. Ring !..
Yahoo ! It’s the ring of all ring,
We have been waiting for,
The final ring of the day,
Line up we must, but yet we don’t,
Thank you and goodbye teacher !

Goldilocks and The Three Bears

(All)
A girl, went to the forest
To see, what she could see,
She saw, inside a little house
A table set for three,

(Younger reader)
Set, set, set for three
Table set for three

(All)
Go Home Goldie,
Hear Our Call,
Run Like The Wind,
And Don’t Come Back, At All

(Older reader)
She stepped into the kitchen,
And ate the porridge there,
Then thought, I am awfully, tired,
I must find a chair

(Younger reader)
Must, must find a chair
I must find a chair

(All)
Go Home Goldie,
Hear Our Call,
Run Like The Wind,
And Don’t Come Back, At All

(Older reader)
She sat, and broke the little chair
Then said, “I’ll find instead,
A not too hard, and not too soft.
Just right, feather bed”

(Younger reader)
Hard soft, feather bed
Just right, feather bed

(All)
Go Home Goldie,
Hear Our Call,
Run Like The Wind,
And Don’t Come Back, At All

(Older reader)
Of course you know the story
The three bears found her there
All snuggled in the baby’s bed
Asleep without a care

(Younger reader)
No, no, not a care
Asleep without a care

(All)
Go Home Goldie,
Hear Our Call,
Run Like The Wind,
And Don’t Come Back, At All

(Older reader)
Then papa said,
(Pretending to be papa bear)
“You ate the food !!”
And mama said,
(Pretending to be mama bear)
“That’s true”

And baby bear yelled,
(Pretending to be baby bear)
“You are in my bed,
And broke my chair in two !!”

(Younger reader)
Broke, broke, chair in two
Broke my chair in two

(All)
Go Home Goldie,
Hear Our Call,
Run Like The Wind,
And Don’t Come Back, At All

(Older reader)
Goldie swore she wasn’t guilty,
She fibbed and then she lied.
Papa chased her out the window
And as she ran, she cried

(Using papa’s voice)
Go Home Goldie
Hear Our Call
Run Like The Wind

(Using mama’s voice)
And Don’t Come Back

(Using baby’s voice)
Don’t come back

DON’T COME BACK…

(All)
AT ALL !!

Don't You Quit!!

When things go wrong, as
they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging
seems all up hill,
When the funds are all low and the
debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have
to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest! If you must ; but don't you quit !!
